Single or Dual Pitch Control - with adjustable servo throw!

The DLx2: fast, durable and equipped with loads of features.

The DLx2 can handle standard dive planes as well as X-rudders of model submarines such as type 212. There are two servo inputs and outputs. For standard dive planes with single dive plane servo only one input is used.

Dual Pitch Controller with integrated X-Mixer
This state-of-the-art pitch controller can handle even the fastest model submarine such as our new 212!
Its high definition sensor combined with a newly developed software and layout allow the DLx2 to easily cope with modern digital servos.

Special features:

- Integrated mixer for X-rudders. This allows appropriate and precise control of X-rudders without having to invest in an expensive R/C system. The X-mixer is simply "on board" of the the DLx2 - no sophisticated R/C system or complicated programming required.

- Automatic pitch reverse. As soon as the motor draws more than 2V in reverse pitch control also reverts the servo signal, meaning that the DLx2 will keep the model in its horizontal position even in backward motion. This mode is also indicated by a red LED on-board of the DLx.

- Click to neutral. The DLx2 can be mounted in any position at any angle. Just bring planes to neutral and press button - pitch control is now brought to neutral.

- Servo reverse. Depending on submarine and installation of servo(s) it might become necessary to invert a servo. For changing direction of servo rotation just press the neutal button and power-up receiver. The servo connected as servo 2 will then rotate inversely. Repeat this procedure to change rotation back to default setting.

- NEW! Servo-Throw-Adjustment. The DLx2 allows reduction of servo movement (throw) down to 50%. Adjustment is made simply by pressing the Neutral button. The actual reduction is indicated by flashing frequencies in groups of three of the red LED. Reduction is possible from 100% (full movement) to 50% servo movement. This is done fully electronically and adjustment can be changed easily any time.

Of course, the DLx2 can also be used for model subs with standard horizontal dive plane symmetry. The X-mixer then just remains redundant.

Sensitivity of pitch control can be adjusted by a rotary switch on the DLx2.

High definition sensor, new software structure and optimized PCB layout make the DLx2 the most highly developed controller of its kind. All this is packed in a sturdy casing allowing easy and safe installation.

Technical Specifications:
Operational voltage: 3.5 - 8.5 V
Current consumption: 6.1 mA (forward) to 8.4 V (reverse) at 5 V receiver battery voltage.
Reverse motion identified at approx. 2 V
Maximum voltage for drive motor: 30 V
Dimensions (length x width x height): 45 x 25 x 10 mm
Weight approx. 13 g

New version 6 with loads of innovative features!

Running a sub steadily at periscope depth is really an achievement for any model submariner.
The LTR6 offers an automated system to succeed in this kind of manoeuvre. The LTR6 does not only offer a combination of pitch and depth controller but an interactive system of the two devices in a single unit.

This new version of the LTR will hold submarine models at a depth set by the transmitter via the dive planes.

The LTR6 offers 3 receiver connections. The first is for the dive plane servo channel itself. The second for models with X-rudders. The third receiver input offers an on/off option operated by a 3-position switch on the transmitter; this will also allow for changing operation mode (absolute or relative depth control).

The LTR6 has 4 servo outputs of which 2 are inversed allowing for all servo/rudder combinations possible. Even large subs with sophisitcated X-rudder operated by 4 individual servos can therefore be handled easily.

A brand new feature of this latest version 6.1 is the possibility to change internal setup of the LTR by a so-called LCDbox (item no. 1575-LCD). In addition, the LCDbox will also visualize pressure and other operational data on its LCD screen.

The LTR6 is the state-of-the-art controller: Fully built-up with pressure sensor, inclinometer and microprocessor.

Technical Specifications:
• Type: plug-in-between device, powered by receiver battery, internal sensors and microprocessor
• Dimensions: 65x33x16 mm, milled plastic base
• 4 bores for mounting screws
• Weight: approx. 20 g
• Voltage: 3.9-8.5 V (receiver power)
• Consumption: 0.5 mA (idle)
• Impulses: positive, 0.75-2.25 ms -- works with all R/C systems

Includes:
• LTR6
• Silicone tubing 3.5/1.5x500 mm (for depth controller)
• outboard connector, brass (for depth controller)
• 4 self-tapping, stainless-steel screws
• Comprehensive manual in ENGLISH

The cross mixer can be used, for example, to control X-rudders, V-tail units, twin-screw drives, or chain drives (caterpillars, excavators, or tanks).

Simply plug the mixer into the corresponding receiver channels using two patch cables and plug the two servos (or the attitude control) into the mixer's jack cables, and you're done.

• Connection
The cross mixer has two inputs and two outputs. The servos are connected to the two outputs. If 4 servos are used, Y-cables must be used.
The inputs are connected to the two signal sources that are to be mixed. These can be two channels from the receiver, or a receiver channel and a position controller signal.

• Function
One input is connected to both outputs. The second input is also output directly to one servo and inverted to the other servo.
Different signals can be set at the two inputs; the corresponding sums of the two signals are output at the outputs.
The cross mixer automatically monitors that the outputs do not exceed 100%.
This ensures that the servos are never controlled beyond their end position, preventing damage to the control linkages.
The cross mixer is deliberately kept simple. It has no configuration options.

If, for example, the servos turn in the wrong direction, the servo linkages must be attached differently or the reverse function must be used in the transmitter. If the zero point is not correct, this must be corrected with the trim on the transmitter or by adjusting the servo linkage.

After installation, the maximum deflections should be checked. To do this, control the two channels to their possible end positions:
- up and left
- up and right
- down and left
- down and right

In each of these positions, one servo should be approximately in the center position and the other at maximum deflection.
It is not useful to limit the servo travel on the transmitter, as two signals are added together. Due to the summation, these possible results are actually always above 100%. For this reason, the cross mixer itself limits the maximum servo travel to 100%.
For this reason, increasing the servo travel in the transmitter to 150% does not make sense.

Packed in a sturdy casing and very compact!
Dimensions (height x width x length) 12x18x24 mm
Weight approx. 5 g

Includes
• Cross-Mixer XM
• 2 Patch Wire Leads 150 mm
• Manual with Wiring Diagram

The new ENGEL standard pitch controller - fast, durable and with interesting features!

This state-of-the-art pitch controller can handle even the fastest model submarines!

Its high definition sensor combined with a newly developed software and layout allow the SPC2 to easily cope with modern digital servos.

Special features:

- Click to neutral. The SPC2 can be mounted in any position at any angle. Just bring planes to neutral and press button - pitch control is now brought to neutral.

- Manual Pitch reverse. Depending on submarine and installation of servo(s) it might become necessary to invert the direction of pitch control. For changing direction of pitch control only a jumper (included) needs to be plugged into the SPC2.

- Servo-Throw-Adjustment. The SPC2 allows reduction of servo movement from 100% to 60%. Adjustment is made simply by pressing the Neutral button.

- Automatic pitch reverse (optional). As soon as the motor draws more than 2V in reverse pitch control also reverts the servo signal, meaning that the SPC2 will keep the model in its horizontal position even in backward motion. This option requires Reverse Drive Detection BL (available with and without BEC).

Sensitivity of pitch control can be adjusted by a rotary switch on the SPC2.

High definition sensor, new software structure and optimized PCB layout make the SPC2 the most highly developed controller of its kind. All this is packed in a sturdy casing allowing easy and safe installation.

The DC1 allows stabilizing a model submarine at a desired depth. It is connected directly to and powered by the receiver. The module can be operated by a control stick as well as a rotary or linear slider on the transmitter. The servo signal is passed on to a pitch controller connected to the output pins of the module allowing the automatic control of depth and pitch of the model.

The DC1 offers two operational modes which are set by a jumper.

MODE 1: Active when NO jumper is set. DC1 then holds the actual depth as long as the control stick remains in its middle position (neutral). Moving the stick up or downwards forces the model to alter its depth until the stick is moved back to neutral. The control range ends at a depth of about 1 to 1.5 meters. Larger depths are possible but will not be kept automatically by the module. Furthermore, as soon as the stick is set back to neutral with the model at such larger depths, the submarine will be steered back within standard control range.

MODE 2: Active when jumper is set. DC1 will bring the model to the depth as given by the transmitter. With the conrol stick set to surface the model will also remain resurfaced. The more the control stick is moved downward the more the model submerges. Depth adjustment within the surface area is rather limited. Adjustment increases with the control stick at about half way down. This allows very precise control to periscope as well as larger depths. The control range ends at a depth of about 1 to 1.5 meters as in MODE 1. Moving the stick all the way downward allows the model to exceed this depth all the way down to the bottom.

The DC1 is connected to the receiver with the lead protruding the module. The depth sensor of the module requires an outboard connection such as a piece of brass tube glued into the WTC. This outboard connector is then connected to the sensor via the silicone tube supplied.

Technical Specifications
Operational voltage 3.5 - 8.5 V
Current consumption 6.1 mA (forward) to 8.4 mA (reverse) at 5 V receiver voltage
Propulsion motor voltage max. 30 V
Dimensions (l x w x h) approx. 32 x 23 x 9 mm
Weight (incl. casing/cables) approx. 13 g

LRpro - the FIRST pitch control with sensitivity adjustment from your transmitter!

Right: Sensitivity is not adjusted by a switch on the controller itself but via a proportional channel of your transmitter.

After having established optimal sensitivity of pitch control the second wire lead can be removed from the receiver leaving this channel vacant for other uses.

Dual Pitch Control
The LRpro offers two servo outputs so that on models with dive planes at aft and bow both plane pairs can be combined.

Automatic pitch reverse
As soon as the motor (brushed) draws more than 2V in reverse pitch control also reverts the servo signal, meaning that the LRpro will keep the model in its horizontal position even in backward motion. This mode is also indicated by a red LED on-board of the LRpro.
Please note: Integrated pitch reverse is only functional in combination with a brushed motor. If a brushless motor is used as main drive optional Reverse Drive Detection BL (item no. 8454 or 8455, with and w/o BEC) is required.

Click to neutral
The LRpro can be mounted in any position at any angle. Just bring planes to neutral and press button - pitch control is now brought to neutral.

Servo reverse
Depending on submarine and installation of servo(s) it might become necessary to invert a servo. For changing direction of servo rotation just press the neutral button and power-up receiver. The servo connected as servo 2 will then rotate inversely. Repeat this procedure to change rotation back to default setting.

Servo-Throw-Adjustment
The LRpro allows reduction of servo movement (throw) down to 50%. Adjustment is made simply by pressing the Neutral button. The actual reduction is indicated by flashing frequencies in groups of three of the red LED. Reduction is possible from 100% (full movement) to 50% servo movement. This is done fully electronically and adjustment can be changed easily any time.

Dynamic passivation
The more the transmitter stick is moved in either direction, the higher the level of manual control. At about 70% stick movement (depending on transmitter) pitch control is almost inactive. Transmitter signal is then passed on directly to the servo(s).
