PLEASE NOTE: Model submarines type 212 and LAFAYETTE do no longer require this upgrade as all new kits include piston tanks equipped with magnets and the Hall sensor.
Connecting and fitting Hall Effect Sensor and magnets
Position of the piston within the tank is detected by a Hall effect sensor pre-fitted on a separate board and connected to CTS2.2 by a three-wire lead. Hall sensor is attached to micro switch S1 with screw supplied.
The Hall effect sensor is actuated by magnets. Four dice shaped magnets are included in this set which are glued (with superglue) to the middle gear wheel.

Set includes
• 1 Hall effect sensor, rubber coated, with connection lead attached, wire length approx. 5 cm
• 2 jumpers
• 2 Neodymium cube magnets 3 x 3 mm
• 1 screw M3x40 stainless steel
• 1 washer stainless steel

This set is especially designed to suit Piston Tanks type EA in combination with Compact Tank Switch CTS2.2 such as implemented in model submarines type 212, AKULA II and LAFAYETTE.

Static Depth Controller TAES for TAE and Tmax 97,60 €

Switch unit TAE can be upgraded with a so-called Static Depth Controller. This electronic unit is equipped with a pressure sensor supporting the trim of the submerged, static (not moving) model.

The Static Depth Controller TAES measures the pressure differentials during submerging and resurfacing which are then equalized by water being sucked in and pressed out of the Piston Tanks.

With this system no further manual trimming necessary, thereby allowing the model to be held automatically at a desired depth. However, an almost exact basic trim of the model is essential for this system to work accordingly.

This upgrade kit includes the ready-soldered control unit TAES with pressure sensor. The unit is easy to install as the connector cable must only be plugged into the port of the TAE switch unit.

Includes: Static Depth Controller, 4-pole connection lead as well as silicone tubing for depth sensor.

Packed in a sturdy casing measuring 29 x 27 x 12 mm.

IMPORTANT: for upgrading Tmax versions v1.2 (or lower) with TAES a PIC upgrade to version v2.1 is necessary. The corresponding PIC version of the Tmax is shown on the label next to the relais 1.
If you own a Tmax version lower than v2.1 please order PIC upgrade to v2.1 (item no. 5207-021).

Suitable for switch units TAE, TAE2 and TAE3 as well as Tmax2.
