ENGEL Dive Systems are the most commonly used ballast systems for model submarines with more than 30,000 units sold worldwide.
ENGEL Dive Systems have proven to be the most reliable and efficient way to let static diving model submarines submerge and REMERGE (being the most important and convincing argument).
Piston tanks are normally installed within the pressure proof/watertight compartment (WTC) of a model submarine.
Water is sucked into or pressed out of the cylinder.
Cylinder, tank and drive unit are resembled in ONE SINGLE UNIT - it's that SIMPLE!
All Piston Tanks come fully assembled and only need to wired-up to the control unit included in all ENGEL Dive Systems.
All ENGEL Piston Tanks regardless of system type can be operated via a socalled switch unit with standard R/C components.
The Piston Tank, fully connected to its corresponding switch unit, will allow a model submarine to submerge and emerge just like its original counterpart - with a minimum of battery consumption at upmost safety for your model.
All of these systems include 2 Piston Tanks with its corresponing switch unit as well as all necessary parts for installation, such as hoses, wire leads, connectors and Pressure Switch.
Engel Dive Systems are available exclusively in the new version TAE3 with Hall sensors (for proportional control) in standard operating volumes, each in 6 and 12 Volt.
Ready-to-Run with HALL sensors:
Hall sensors and magnets are ready-mounted to Piston Tanks so no additional installation of these components is required.
The system can be operated without connection of Hall sensors, of course, with Piston Tanks running in AutoStop mode, only.
Customized Piston Tanks
If you are looking for a Dive System with a volume not listed, we can manufacture any volume starting from 250 to 1000 ml. Please note that outside diameter of 75 mm never changes; only the length of the cylinder is variable.
