Terms and Conditions
The following terms and conditions are valid for all orders submitted to Alexander Engel KG.
1. YOUR CONTRACTING PARTY
Your purchase contract is concluded with Alexander Engel KG, D-75434 Knittlingen, Germany.
All prices shown on our website are in EURO (EUR, common European currency unit).
Minimum order value for shop orders is EUR 10.-
The prices on our website are shown excluding and including German Sales Tax.
2.1 Prices marked with "Excl." do NOT INCLUDE German Sales Tax and apply to all orders destined OUTSIDE the European Union (EU).
2.2 Prices marked with “Incl." INCLUDE German Sales Tax and apply to all orders destined WITHIN the European Union (EU).
2.3 Prices are subject to change
All prices shown on our website are subject to change without prior notice.
The prices stated in your order confirmation are final, regardless of the shipping date.
2.4 Gift Certificates
Gift certificates do not expire. Please note that no refund can be given on these certificates or on purchases below certificate value. Excess certificate value will be held as credit to the donee.
The prices stated in our international website do not include shipping.
The freight cost for each order depends on its destination.
3.1 Orders from Germany
On all shipments to be delivered within the Federal Republic of Germany with an order value of at least EURO 99,- no shipping cost will be charged ("free delivery").
For orders within Germany below an order value of less than EURO 99,- a shipping charge of EURO 4,95 will be added.
3.2 Orders from foreign countries
For all orders destined outside the Federal Republic of Germany shipping will be charged regardless of order value .
In addition, sales taxes and custom charges may apply in your home country for shipments outside the European Union depending on destination.
3.2.1 Orders shipped within the European Union
are delivered by Airmail (i.e. accessories) or Parcel Service (i.e. kits), whatever is more cost-economical.
3.2.2 Orders shipped to overseas destinations (USA, Canada, Asia)
are shipped by Airmail (i.e. accessories, spare parts) or Federal Express (i.e. kits) whatever is more cost-economical.
3.2.3 Orders shipped to EFTA countries (Switzerland, Norway, Iceland)
are either sent by Airmail , Parcel Service or Federal Express, whatever is more cost-economical.
Due to special trade treaties between the EU and EFTA countries regular duties do not apply but domestic sales tax might be charged by your home country at customs.

4.1 Pay Pal
Payment is possible by online payment system PayPal.
Payment via PayPal is requested within 8 days. Otherwise your order will automatically be CANCELLED.
4.2 Bank transfer
is available on request but all charges thereof are to your expense (net-payment).
Please note that payment by bank transfer is not offered by our online shopping system. If you wish to pay by bank transfer you can submit your order by email or fax. In this case please state the amount and the item number you wish to order AND exact delivery address and phone number (no cell phone no. please).You will then receive an order confirmation by email or fax (at your choice) with all relevant order and transaction data.
4.3 Your personal and credit card data is SSL encoded
for best possible security during transaction. All data is treated absolutely confidential and will neither be given to other commercial entities nor 3rd parties.
4.4 European law
requires that credit card data must not be stored on online systems.
Therefore, it is necessary to fill-in the credit card data every time you order via our online shopping system.
Credit card payment for orders from certain countries cannot be accepted due to restricted liabilty of payment by Visa/MasterCard in these countries.
5. YOUR ORDER
5.1 Receipt of order
After having submitted an order via our online shopping system you will receive a copy of your order via email automatically.
5.2 Order confirmation
After verification of availability and credibility of your order you will receive a second email (order confirmation). This confirmation will show exact pricing and freight cost as well as the total amount to pay. The shipping method (carrier) will also be given in this email.
5.3 Shipment of order
Your order will be shipped after authorisation of payment by PayPal or receipt of your payment on our bank account.
As soon as your order has been sent you will receive a third email stating the actual shipment of your order, including shipping details (tracking number) if sent by Parcel Service or Federal Express.

6. WARRANTY & LIABILITY
All warranty and liability charges can only be claimed in accordance with EU/German law. UN or other legislation is not effective.
6.1 24 Month Limited Warranty
All products supplied by Alexander Engel KG are covered by a 24 month limited warranty. This period starts with date of invoice and covers malfunction of the item in question due to manufacturing defects. Furthermore, warranty charges may be passed on to the respective manufacturer of the defective item (limited manufacturer warranty). Defects which are easily identified and/or visible must be claimed in writing within 14 days after receipt of item.
Warranty is limited to malfunction caused by defective manufacturing. Misuse, improper treatment or operation of the respecitve item are not covered by this warranty.
Liability is limited to defective parts, not to the resulting damage thereof. Alexander Engel KG is not liable for any personal injury or damage of any kind resulting with the assembly and/or use of our products as we are neither able to delegate nor verify the assembly and/or use of these items.
7. Settling Place
Settling Place and Place of Jurisdiction and Venue ist D-75438 Knittlingen, Germany.
8. Right of Withdrawal
Only consumers living within the European Union have the following right of revocation.
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (ALEXANDER ENGEL KG, D-75438 Knittlingen, Phone +49 (0)7043 93520, Fax +49 (0)7043 935252, Email firstname.lastname@example.org) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax or e-mail). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you payment received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
The following items cannot be returned/reimbursed:
• Goods made to customer's specifications
• Goods ordered especially from a third party to meet customer's requirements
• Printed matters such as plans, catalogues, books.
