Description

A UBEC (Universal Battery Eliminating Circuit) supplies regulated (switched) DC power to the receiver.
This ensures optimal and safe functioning of the receiver and sufficient power supply for all connected R/C components (i.e. servos, modules etc.) up to 3 A.
This might not be the case if using a conventional (linear) BEC via the speed controller.
Furthermore, conventional BEC often generates excessive heat within the model which often ends with an overload and final loss of the model.

This UBEC offers LOW NOISE power supply to the receiver. Power fluctuation is compensated. No excessive heat built-up.
To reduce interference the unit's main electronic components are shielded by a metal cover and a ferrite ring is installed on the wire connecting to the receiver.

power output: 5 or 6 V (selectable by jumper)
power input: 2-6S LiPo / 5-18 NiMH (5.5-26 V)
continuous current: 3 A (max. 5 A for 10 sec.)

Important notice: If the ESC being used has a built in BEC, that BEC must be disabled when using a UBEC!
To disable the BEC of an ESC, simply disconnect the red wire on the receiver plug of the ESC.
